MDLS — Matías de la Sota
MDLS is more than a set of initials — it's my way of leaving a mark. From social media to online games to creative projects, I've always used it as a signature. Not decorative — representative. A system that adapts to any context without losing its essence.
I am a 3D and 2D designer focused on animation, concept art, and game art. I specialize in creating worlds that carry a clear visual identity and a memorable atmosphere.
My process always starts with the story: what emotions do I want to provoke, what universe do I want to build. Technique is the vehicle, not the destination.
I work with Blender, 3ds Max, After Effects, and Unity. Available for game, animation, and creative projects.
Three pillars that make my work not just communicate — but generate life and authenticity.
I don't design isolated objects — I build complete universes. From a house on the lunar surface to a connected archipelago of islands, every project starts with a world that has its own rules, atmosphere and sense of place. Space defines narrative.
Every project I've made tells a story. Whether it's an animal's journey through a national park, a deadly race between toy cars, or a quest across connected islands — the visual serves the story, not the other way around. I start with "what do I want the viewer to feel?" and build outward from there.
3ds Max, After Effects, Unity, Blender, Spatial, stop motion photography — I move fluidly across very different mediums and techniques. The tool changes depending on the project. The standard doesn't. I treat each medium as a different language for the same idea.
"My differential value lies in how I bring movement and narrative together across mediums. I build worlds that have a reason to exist, stories that drive every visual decision, and the technical range to execute them — from 3D environments to frame-by-frame animation. Worldbuilder. Narrative-driven. Technically versatile."
